LUMINEERS®
BY CERINATE®
LUMINEERS have been called the greatest breakthrough ever in cosmetic
dentistry, and this may not be an exaggeration. They are dental veneers
made of an advanced new porcelain called Cerinate. Because of its
hardness and strength, Lumineers are extremely thin - as thin as contact
lenses.
There is virtually no pain or discomfort during or after the
procedure. Unlike traditional porcelain veneers that require "tooth
preparation" (existing tooth structure is ground down to accommodate a
veneer), in most cases there is no drilling... no grinding... no
preparation whatsoever. You keep your natural teeth intact!
There is no need for Novocain or any other local anesthetic.
The treatment takes just two or three visits.
The esthetic results are immediate. Lumineers can permanently whiten
your teeth. They are a viable alternative to braces in many cases. They
are a terrific cosmetic solution for stained, chipped, discolored,
misaligned teeth, or even to revitalize old crowns and bridgework. They
are perfect for teeth that have been stained by tetracycline or other
medications.
Lumineers have the translucent qualities of your real teeth. Since
they are so thin, there is no risk of having veneers that make your
teeth appear "fat" or unusually "thick" (a common complaint with veneer
makeovers). They don't chip, crack or discolor with age. And they are
clinically proven to last 20 years or more!
Are you a candidate for veneers? If you are asking yourself this
question the answer is probably YES.
